Who we are

CouplesQuest is a mobile app that lets couples create and complete quests, earn points, and exchange rewards in a shared shop. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Data we collect

When you create an account and use the app we collect:

Account information: your email address and username.
App activity: quests you create or are assigned (title, description, point value, status), shop items you list or purchase, your point balance, and your content-preference settings.
Device push token: if you grant notification permissions, we store a device token to send you notifications about quest and shop activity.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any biometric data.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to run the app: to match you with your partner, show you each other's quests and shop items, and send in-app notifications. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Data sharing

Your username and activity (quests you post, shop items you list, purchases) are visible to your connected partner inside the app. No data is shared with anyone else except our infrastructure providers listed below.

Supabase (supabase.com) provides authentication and database hosting. Your account credentials are processed and stored by Supabase in accordance with their privacy policy.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data — including your user record, quests, shop items, purchases, and notification tokens — is permanently deleted from our servers and from Supabase authentication within seconds.

Your rights

You may at any time:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Delete your account and all associated data.

To delete your account, visit our account deletion page and sign in to confirm. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled by Supabase using industry-standard JWT tokens. We do not store passwords ourselves.

Children

CouplesQuest is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
